SteveMarsdin Posted 6 February , 2014 Share Posted 6 February , 2014 Good evening, Jean-Claude Delhez has helped the local tourist board produce this FREE 200 page guide to 14-18 in the Belgian Province of Luxembourg. It concentrates on (but not exclusively) the events of the Battle of the Frontiers. It also covers the occupation and events/sites on the French side of the border (Sedan, Longwy, Longuyon, Montmedy) They are hoping to eventually produce an English version and I have a meeting with Pascale Ghislain next week to discuss tourism and to collect 50 copies of the French version to giveaway at the GWF Conference. In the meantime, it can be downloaded free here http://pro.ftlb.be/index.php/ses-thematiques/tourisme-de-memoire/memoires-14-18 The tourist board is very familiar with the British and American market for WW2 tourism (Bastogne etc.) but is keen that anglophone tourists spend longer in the region and wants to develop the WW1 aspect. I have a lot of ideas and if anyone has any suggestions to add, please let me know.
