nemesis Posted 15 July , 2008 Share Posted 15 July , 2008 Can I have assistance with the term Stretcher Bearers. Were these men from the regiment or corps other than RAMC who were trained or detailed as Stretcher Bearers. I have a gallantry medal to one person from a Scottish Regiment who was a Stretcher Bearer. Were they armed etc? Any help is welcome

gnr.ktrha Posted 22 July , 2008 Share Posted 22 July , 2008 Nemisis, If you want to PM me his name etc, I will check my list of Pipers for you. Some units used there Pipers as SB's and Ammo carriers, so he may appear there. It's worth a try, Regards, Stewart
