If he was in a cavalry/yeomanry regiment - why does he have the rank of Gunner? He subsequently is shown as a 2nd Lieut. South Staffordshire Regt. Please. apwright Posted 16 June , 2008 Share Posted 16 June , 2008 Don't believe everything you read in the transcriptions! Whoever transcribed the card at the NA couldn't read the handwriting.
