ArmyOfficer Posted 23 February , 2004 Share Posted 23 February , 2004 can anyone tell me where Hull's Farm would be? I assume somewhere near Boesinghe but can't find it War Diary states: 5 July: Back in "demi-repos", many arrangements being made about the attack on the morrow. After dark B & D Coys moved up into the trenches near HULL'S FARM west of the canal. Just received a 1914 Star for a Pte in the 1st Hampshires KIA on 6 July and I'm trying to nail down the location for the action in which he was killed.... Terry_Reeves Posted 23 February , 2004 Share Posted 23 February , 2004 Hull's farm was some two miles north of Ypres, on the west bank of the canal as you have said.

Marc Thompson Posted 25 February , 2004 Share Posted 25 February , 2004 Just received a 1914 Star for a Pte in the 1st Hampshires KIA on 6 July Is he one of the 1st Hamps Regt burials at Talana Farm? Specifically, is he Pte 7543 Richard PARTLAND? If so, I have added a picture of his headstone to the Hampshire Regiment thread in the Unit Histories under the Document Repository.
