jaybeebuzz Posted 6 September , 2008 Share Posted 6 September , 2008 Hello everyone I wonder if someone can recommend a good book on the history of the KSLI (particularly 2nd batt) which also includes details of their involvement in the Boer War? I've noticed from Googling that there are a few books that seem to fit the bill, but which is the best for what I am after? Many thanks. Greenwoodman Posted 6 September , 2008 Share Posted 6 September , 2008 Looks like a combination of two books will do it - The Eighty-Fifth King's Light Infantry (now 2nd Battalion KSLI) by "One of them". London: Spotiswoode & Co., 1913, 551pp The History of the King's Shropshire Light Infantry in the Great War 1914-1918 by W.B. de Wood. London: Medici Society, 1925, 417pp. OR The History of the Corps of the King's Shropshire Light Infantry Vol 3 1881-1968 Shrewsbury: Regimental Secretary, c. 1969, 363pp.
