Guest Bagheera Posted 28 February , 2004 Share Posted 28 February , 2004 I'm currently tracing my wife's family history & we have recently discovered that her Gt Granddad served with the Lancashire Fusiliers during WWI. We also know that at one point he was gassed and presumed dead. He was taken to a mortury where he came round "when he was ready for burial". As you can imagine this had a great effect on him for the rest of his life. Being new to the military side of family history research I was hoping that someone could assist and point me in a direction where I could learn more. Many Thanks Nigel W. Chris_Baker Posted 28 February , 2004 Share Posted 28 February , 2004 Hello Nigel, welcome to the forum. You can learn more about how to research your Grandad, on this site. Click the Long, Long Trail link that appears top left of this page, under the logo. Go to the "Grandads War" section.
