AOK4 Posted 5 March , 2004 Share Posted 5 March , 2004 Hello, According to what I found, Leo Sontag was already replaced at the head of the 41st Division in September 1914. I have found a few German generals with the name Sontag (and some more with the nam Sonntag), so I can't say anything about his further carreer for the moment. Do you know anything more? Guest Sonntag Posted 5 March , 2004 Share Posted 5 March , 2004 I know that Leo Sontag (died in the fire bombing of Dresden to the best of my knowledge) is my Great Grand Father and that there were a few other peopel from my family in the war, Leo Sonntag's son for example was under his command, Oberst Sonntag. I don't know about the double N thing I think it was changed to be more modern. Anyways any help I could get on any Generals or Soldiers with the same last name would be greatly apperciated.
