richardp@comsine.co.uk Posted 6 November , 2008 Share Posted 6 November , 2008 Dear all A bit of a long shot I guess, but this is aimed at anyone who has the following soldier as a relative: Name Thomas William Gray Rank L/CPL Number 1909 London Regiment, 24th (County of London) Battalion (The Queens) Born Plumstead Enlisted Kennington Residence Lambeth Died Date 22 April 1915 Died how Killed in action He was a great friend of my grandfathers and is mentioned in a letter that my grandfather wrote home to his sister in 1915 where he describes Thomas being killed. I have recently visited Le Touret where Thomas's name is recorded as he has no known grave. The latter is interesting as in my grandfather's letter he mentions how Thomas was buried by his comrades, but obviously the grave was then lost over subsequent years of the war. Anyway, I would be very happy to share the information I have on Thomas if anyone is interested. Richard
