Guest Brisbane Bob Posted 7 March , 2004 Share Posted 7 March , 2004 My Grandfather William John Stacey was wounded (lost both legs) and his brother Arthur F Stacey was totally blinded during the war. They were both born in Islington Middlesex. The only photograph I have is that of my grandfather in dress uniform with his cap in his hand. I have no medals to refer to. Because I am in Australia it is impossible to show this photograph in person, but it has been scanned. Is there anywhere I can send this photograph to determine which regiment they were in? and having that, and their full names is it possible to get there service numbers? I understand that having been wounded both of them should have records at some ex military hospital or County archives pertaining to such. Please reply per e-mail, I can send the photo to anyone that may be able to assist. thanks in advance. Bob at Brisbane, Australia.
