hughkerr Posted 14 November , 2008 Share Posted 14 November , 2008 Hi All, My Grandfather, Robert Kerr, was a drummer with the 13th Battalion Royal Scots, part of the 15th Division. I understand the 15th Division had massed pipes and drums and played before Haig at the Divisional Horse Show, held at Bullecourt on 13th May 1917 (this was just after the Division suffered 6313 casualties at Arras). I was wondering if anyone has come accross any photographs of this event they would be willing to share with me, as I would imagine it would have been well photographed, or any photographs showing bands which included the Royal Scots. dycer Posted 14 November , 2008 Share Posted 14 November , 2008 Hugh, It's a wee bit out of your timeframe but if you have a look on the Boysoldier section of John Duncan's Web-Site-Newbattle at War-you'll see a few photographs of the 8th Royal Scots Pipe Band.
