Winter Posted 10 March , 2004 Share Posted 10 March , 2004 Hello everyone joined yesterday and just wanted to say this is one of the most interesting forums I've ever seen. Speaking to my aunt recently she mentioned I had a great uncle who died after the war as a result of gassing and this got me interested in trying to find out a bit more. I searched the CWGC and found the following details: Name: TIFFANY Initials: Hudson Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Private Regiment: Manchester Regiment Unit Text: 8th Bn. Age: 21 Date of Death: 03/12/1919 Service No: 252384 Additional information: Son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Tiffany, of 34, Peel St., Newton Heath, Manchester. Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead would it be possible for somebody to look up any mention of my great uncle in their archives / Manchester Roll of Honour. Further to that Hudson had three brothers John, George and Crossley all of elligble age for military service but I haven't yet found anything out about them. Many thanks in advance George P.S Next stop PRO.
John_Hartley Posted 10 March , 2004 Share Posted 10 March , 2004 Have checked the Roll, etc and replied privately to George (he had emailed me before I saw this post). Nothing found. John
