I'm trying to find information on one

Sidney A Beer 108460 Private

Nottingham and Derbyshire Regiment

This info I got from his MIC

I think he may be my grandfather but I am not to sure as he died when I was young and according to my family he was a very quiet and secretive man (my own father didn't know much about him).

The info I am seeking is where was he living as this will confirm he is the one I am looking for as he came from Surrey. But I remember on another thread that you could be put in any regiment if conscripted.

Sorry there's not much to go by but this is really a shot in the dark as I don't no whether my GF was in the war or not.

Any help will be appreciated as this is a part of my family history that I am stuck on.
