Joy Dean Posted 12 March , 2004 Share Posted 12 March , 2004 This may seem to be a sily question ... However, my Grandad William Joseph Brooks was S/20581 Rfn. W J Brooks in the 13th Battalion of the Rifle Brigade. It has only just occurred to me to wonder what the 'S' stands for in S/20581. I expect lots of you would know the answer to this? Thank you. Joy Dean Posted 12 March , 2004 Author Share Posted 12 March , 2004 Thank you very much. And thank you for not saying it was a silly question (even though I couldn't spell silly before!). Joy
