squirrel Posted 3 December , 2008 Share Posted 3 December , 2008 By Fiona Waters with photographs from the Daily Mail. ISBN978-0-954267-8-8/0-9545267-8-3 Published by Transatlantic Press. A collection of poems with accompanying photographs. Nice collection of poems with some lesser known authors and many contributions by the ladies for a change. Well produced on good quality paper. Good photographs too but some of the captions are a bit "iffy" IMHO. "Howitzer Guns". "Imperial Australian Guard" On page 160 opposite "The War Mongers" by Siegfried Sassoon there is the picture of soldiers disembarking from a ship. The photo is well known and the man at the front, a Scottish Soldier with pattern '14 leather equipment, is looking at the camera. Described as, "New troops disembark at a port in France". The Scottish soldier has four wound stripes on his left cuff. Worth the money though - bought mine through Amazon.
