If it is the one I am thinking of the postcards are very good but some of the captions are a bit "iffy". The picture on the cover of the Officers wearing gas masks and one holding a cigar is a gem as is the caption "Gentlemen of India come to deal with the German hooligans". Worth buying for the "postcards" but not perhaps the captions.

I do have a copy actually. I am wondering about the title: Postcards from the trenches(?). Most soldiers most of the time must have written when on leave or in the rear lines rather than in the actual trenches. Does anyone have any solid information on this last point?

John

Good point I think about the book are the clear repros of the BACKS of the cards which have some illuminating messages occasionally.
