Technical tank books

Hello

What would people recommend? I'm thinking of technical stuff, diagrams, pictures, engineering, etc., rather than their use in battle and stories of the crews. Thanks.

For British tanks I would recommend anything by David Flet5cher, the Tank Museum's librarian. Maxwell Hundleby & Rainer Strasheim The German A7V Tank and the Captured BritishMark IV Tanks of World War 1 (Foulis, 1990) is also excellent.

Anthony,

There are some good general arrangement drawings and a table of tank details (giving dimensions, engines, transmission, trench crossing capacity, etc.) in D Fletcher, Landships: British Tanks in the First World War, HMSO, 1984.

Hope this helps.

With best wishes,

David
