Hi

Just purusing the latest NMP booklist, which hit my inbox yesterday, and the above title caught my eye.

If anyone has this book, perhaps they could let me know if there is anything of note with regard to my main area of interest, being the Zeppelin/Airship/Gotha/Giant raids over Britain.

Thank you

David

Yes, it's very good on the Gotha/Zeppelin raids - also, if you are interested, on the German naval bombardment of Scarborough Whitby and West Hartlepool.

Tony and Jeremy - Many thanks for the information. Another one for the bookshelf!

The German Naval Bombardments are also of some interest, as I've picked up quite a few postcards of these raids, as well as the Lowestoft bombardment in 1916, over the years. Any good books on that subject out there? Is the Mark Marsay book "Bombardment! The Day the East Coast Bled" worth the investment?

I really enjoyed this book, it covers an aspect of the war often neglected by historians, and I found it a fascinating read.

Everyone should read it.
