Michael Pegum Posted 13 April , 2009 Share Posted 13 April , 2009 This book, in the Pen and Sword catalogue, must be very new as it hasn't appeared in the catalogue of the British Library yet. It is a record of the military service of eight members of the Pike family in several wars, only one of whom died. Has anyone got a copy? If so, please tell me which was the member of the Pike family who died. I am researching Robert Maxwell Pike, was was k.i.a. in 1915, and I just wonder if he is the one. If he is, of course, I'm going to have to buy the book! Michael
CGM Posted 13 April , 2009 Share Posted 13 April , 2009 Hello, This could be the family. Regards, CGM http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/p...lk-1003964.html
SiegeGunner Posted 13 April , 2009 Share Posted 13 April , 2009 This could be the family. I'd say the probability was rather stronger than 'could be' If the book is as interesting as the Independent article, I shall look forward to reading it. Regards,CGM http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/p...lk-1003964.html Yes, that's the family, for sure, and my man wasn't one of them. Many thanks, Michael
