I have just bought a book about the British Medical base in Le Treport, France.

It is a book of photos, compiled by a local historian and doctor, of the 10,000 bed British hospital in Normandy.

Apart from the wonderful pictures there are some interesting facts.

Text in French and English.

Mary, sounds interesting. Can you give full author and title information, plus publisher and ISBN if possible?

Hi Paul,

The title on the cover is Le Treport: 1914-1918

Inside the authors are named as Ridha Arfa and Bruno Garraud. They are both local historians and Bruno is a Doctor who actually grew up in Les Terrasses estate, the very same place where the British hospitals were located. He has a passion for the history of the local area and WW1. The book is 30cm x 22 cm and is beautifully produced but has no ISBN number just "Impression ICH Criel-sur-mer 02 35 50 98 00" in small print on the back. Criel is near to LeTreport and the numbers are the telephone numbers presumably of the printers. I also have Bruno's address.

The price is 23euros.

I would be happy to send you a sample of one or two of the pages

Mary
