Guest pjm Posted 13 April , 2004 Share Posted 13 April , 2004 A relative, Pte James Calver, 2Bn Suffolk Regt was killed on 20 July 1916. Recently, the attached un-named photo surfaced from his branch of the family. The uniform looks to be totally standard. Could this be Pte Calver and does anyone know what the cuff badge signifies please.
hmsk212 Posted 13 April , 2004 Share Posted 13 April , 2004 The badge signifies that he is qualified as a machine gunner Steve
Guest pjm Posted 13 April , 2004 Share Posted 13 April , 2004 Thank you Steve. I had misread the badge as MS. Obvious when it is pointed out!
