looks like your man was a wireless operator, have just put a link in on the site(RFCWOOCA) will see if his name appears in the book. These guys were trained at Farnborough and then posted to a Sqn and then out to a battery.

I dont know will find out for you, all the guys mentioned in the book were Farnborough trained
