Pluto Posted 12 July , 2009 Share Posted 12 July , 2009 Hello, I recently posted some questions regarding this picture: http://1914-1918.invisionzone.com/forums/i...howtopic=127259 It has been confirmed that my Grandfather was part of the Machine Gun Corp. His name was Pte. James Alexander Gracie (born Sept. 1886, Glasgow). I have used Ancestry.co.uk and have found the medal cards of two James Gracies. 1. Pte James Gracie, MGC, Regtl. No. 148540 2. Pte James Gracie, MGC, Regtl. No. 60317 Both have references to the British War and Victory medals. No other references (such as service records) were available. I am going to be writing to the Machine Gun Corps Association, but would anyone here have any information on the numbers or where to seek other information such as the rolls referenced on the cards? Your feedback is greatly appreciated.

Gary.F We do not have anything from my Grandfather other than two photos. On this medal card, why would there be two references to the roll and page for the same medals?
