Particularly No7 Coy and No8 Coy based at Fort Walney, Barrow-in-Furness in Aug. 1914. Rolls?, when sent to France? Any help greatly appreciated. rflory Posted 17 April , 2004 Share Posted 17 April , 2004 According to "The Territorial Artillery 1908 to 1988" the Lancashire and Cheshire RGA never left the UK in the Great War. Individual men from RGA Territorial units may have gone to France to join other units there. Regards. Dick Flory
rflory Posted 18 April , 2004 Share Posted 18 April , 2004 The 39th Siege Battery was formed on 10 Jun 1915 at Sheerness from personnel from the Lancaster & Cheshire, RGA TF, as was the 94th Siege Battery at Tynemouth on 16 Dec 1915.
