Daveperry Posted 3 August , 2009 Share Posted 3 August , 2009 Hi, my grandfather has passed away and left a huge collection of books. I have no idea what they are worth, so I am emailing some people and posting on some forums to gather more information. The name of the book collection is: The Great war. Edited by H.W Wilson and J.A Hammerton and produced by The Amalgamated press limited in 1915. I have all 13 volumes of "The Great War" I am wondering what their values are. They are in good condition. If you could please give me an honest price it would be much appreciated. Thanks Dave

Chris_Baker Posted 3 August , 2009 Share Posted 3 August , 2009 Dave, I suggest you look up the current market prices at www.abebooks.co.uk. The 13 volume set was produced in large volumes during the war and is quite commonly seen. Prices seem to be all over the place. I picked up the whole lot for ten quid some years ago but have seen individual volumes up for sale for a good deal more. There was also a condensed 6 volume set.
