Adam Harland Posted 24 April , 2004 Share Posted 24 April , 2004 The 8th Seaforths were part of th 15th (Scottish) Division, and took part as an assaulting battalion of the 44th Brigade on 23/4/17 against Guemappe. According to the Divisional history, the battalion was kept in reserve at Arras, until the evening of 22/4, when it moved forward to take up its assault positions. If Sgt Miles died on 22/4, and his body never found, it would seem likely that he was lost on the approach to the trenches Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
