3/10867 CSM.W.T.Gray Northamptonshire regiment.

His medals came to light today. It would be nice to find out his story. I've tried to find him on the London gazette but with no luck. I'am possibly not putting in the right information. The only details that I've found for him is that he was MID on the 07/11/1917 and was awarded his DCM on the 21/10/1918. There is one other soldier form the Northants that was awareded a DCM on this date and that is 9781 CPL.J.R.Butts, Again I've found nothing for him. The only other info I know of is CSM Gray also served in the Boer war also in the Northants.

Someone out there must know why he was awarded his DCM.

Any information would be great.

Rowland.

Searched the Gazette using his regimental number and found the MID in Gazette Issue 30441 published on the 18 December 1917, Page 4.

Unfortunately, I could not find any reference to his DCM.

Regards

Mark
