Paul Reed Posted 27 October , 2009 Share Posted 27 October , 2009 Francis Hitchcock 'Stand To! - A Diary of the Trenches' (first published c.1931, but there are modern reprints). Hitchcock was opposite Junger at one point. There are also some first hand accounts in 'War Letters of Fallen Englishman'. I remember a particularly good one by 2/Lt A.C.Young of 7/8 RIF, who later died at Passchendaele. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
