Chunkeroo Posted 29 April , 2004 Share Posted 29 April , 2004 I have a man who enlisted in September 1914 into the DCLI, transferred to the Royal Irish Fusiliers and then to the Army Cyclist Corps all in the space of a month. He was posted to Gallipoli in November with the ACC. Does anyone know which Cyclist Corps units were in Gallipoli at this time?
charlesmessenger Posted 30 April , 2004 Share Posted 30 April , 2004 Sounds as though he was in 5th or 6th Bns RIF and was then in 10th (Irish) Division's cyclist company. The Div landed on Gallipoli in early August 1915. There have been previous threads on the ACC if you want to learn more. Charles m

charlesmessenger Posted 1 May , 2004 Share Posted 1 May , 2004 Yes, but the TF Cyclist bns were not part of the Army Cyclists Corps. Charles M
