JPAE Posted 11 November , 2009 Share Posted 11 November , 2009 Having watched Ian Hislop's programme on Channel 4, and the piece about Henry Norwest, I borrowed this 2009 book from Pudsey library in order to find out more about this not uncommon aspect of warfare but one with a reputation of being slightly underhand and not really withen the rules. This book was ideal for me, as I needed to start from scratch. I suspect an expert will be able to give a different sort of review to mine, and I have no intention of going into detail. I have already gone through the WW1 part and found out enough from the text and illustrations to inspire furthur research, and perhaps look for the specific Great War books on sniping already reviewed here. The book is large, 256 pages and runs from the American Civil War to date. Phil.
