Pte Sidney Franklin No. 44105 10th Lancashire Fusiliers was wounded (gunshot wound to neck) on 4th May 1918 and sent to 10th General Hospital, Rouen, France.

Does anyone have any info on him or if there was an attack being carried out that day that he may have been involved in?

I am going to visit the TNA in July to look up any available papers on him and 2 of his brothers, but thought I'd just ask in case...

Many thanks

10th LF were in the front line at Mesnil from 24th April to 4th May 1918(quite a long time to be in the line). They then went into reserve Forceville and Engelbeimer from 4th to 7th. I'll look up the date in the official history at work tomorrow, but there's no mention in the calendar of moves of any attack or fighting patrol on that date. He may be 'just' one of the steady procession of casualties inherent to service in the trenches.
