I bought this book a couple of months ago and find it a very useful reference guide. It has drawings of cap badges

and all other badges and stripes etc which are found on soldiers uniforms. The drawings are clear

and at the start of each chapter there is a short introduction. It also contains some old photos as

examples.

The book has 119 pages and costs £7.50

Another very useful book is Uniforms and Equipment of the British Army in World War One by Stephen Chambers, although considerably more expensive, it is a truely excellent photo record of the British Army during the war.
