jemimajane Posted 9 May , 2004 Share Posted 9 May , 2004 Frederick George Quarry was my great-great uncle (born 1884 Bushey,Herts, died 1921, Ripley, Derbyshire) and I am trying to find out a bit more about him and his time in WW1. I have the following (factual) information: Corporal in RGA no: 16498. He was entitled to the 1914star, BWM and Victory medal The other information I have is that he "arrived in France 21.08.1914" and "Att 8th General Hospital (Rouen,France)" It is said, in the family that "he worked with the horses that pulled the guns out of the mud". Can anyone guide me in the direction to find out a little bit more?
