I am currently looking for informatin on a William Esler. I know he was a serjeant in The Seaforth Highlanders, and lived in Argyll. I am trying to find out if he is any relation, if I have more information, I may be able to find out.

Thanks for any help, every little thing helps!

S.Esler

Hi

Sorry to have confused you.

If you were to look at a map of Lanarkshire you wont find Kinning Park or Whiteinch listed. I've found areas of Glasgow (in CWGC etc) often listed like this. Technically the listings in CWGC and Soldiers Died should read Born - Kinning Park, Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Enlisted - Whiteinch, Glasgow, Lanarkshire.

cheers
