Hi All,

We often mention their names, their numbers and regiments but do we or can we put a face to them?

Here is Private 2777 Walter Glennen of The Lancashire Fusiliers.

1895-1980.

It would be nice to see other pals.

What a good idea :) .

Do you, or other pals, or indeed our estimed leader, want to have a seperate area with size guidelines, biog details etc etc etc .

I'm no expert but I think that Chris needs to set some guidelines before we all wade in. Also this could provide valuable data for a Pals database if it is set up correctly in the first place.

Great idea-puts some flesh on the man!

Let's see if Chris can work something online for this!

Chris

Thanks for this - seems we need some kind of form - Dob, DOD regt, bn, photo, service medals, decorations, post war service, cwgc ref, etc etc etc.

There are actually many photos of individuals already on this site, usually under Soldiers, but some in other sections

To set up a section for photos of everybody who served in WW1, which is basically what you are asking, would be a tremendous task, and there are already sites out there from regiments, countries, memorials etc, which post this type of photo

Maybe just an ongoing index to photos already on this site would be of more use.and new photos could still be posted, and added to the index.

Hi All,

Looks like Christine has had the last word on this subject/idea.

Still think it would have been great to have seen faces to their names on a dedicated are/section.
