susan kitchen Posted 29 May , 2010 Share Posted 29 May , 2010 I have just acquired a new book which i have been told has just been published. "Yours Ever, Charlie" is a Worcestersire Soldier's journey to Gallipoli, where he was fatally wounded. Charles was nealy 43 when he burst into his kitchen and broke the news to his wife that he had enlisted. He was first sent to France. The first part of this slim book is a social history of his life ( his family were closely connected to the family of Stanley Baldwin the future Prime Minister ). If you are bored with books containg letter's etc, don't dismiss it out of hand. It's a lovely book. Contains photo's and is written by Charlie's Granddaughter Ann Crowther.Foreword by Al Murray. ISBN 9780752455280 £12.99 published by The History Press. Susan
