andrew pugh Posted 17 June , 2010 Share Posted 17 June , 2010 Good Morning All. I wonder if someone could advise me,I am abour to embark on buying The History of the Second Division 1914/1918 by Everard Wyrall. Which es the more informative, volume 1, or volume 2? Steven Broomfield Posted 17 June , 2010 Share Posted 17 June , 2010 You need both; the first deals with (IIRC) 1914 to 1916, while the second has the rest plus appendices. As with all Wyrall's books, it's splendid. I am fortunate enough to have an annotated first edition (cost me £9 about 35 years ago ) and it's one I wouldn't be without. Tell the lady wife I said it was OK.
andrew pugh Posted 17 June , 2010 Author Share Posted 17 June , 2010 Hi Steve. I think I need volume 2 the one that deals with 1918 and the German Offensive. If I can get hold of a copy,My local book shop can' get hold of a copy apparently there being printed, but cannot be given a date when they will be available. I guess I will just have to be patient.Anyway Steve thanks for your help and advice. Regards Andy
