auchonvillerssomme Posted 23 July , 2010 Share Posted 23 July , 2010 I am lucky enough to have a first edition signed copy of The Somme Then and Now (number 45 of 250) and a signed copy of The Ypres Salient (81 of 400). These books were printed in 1977 and 1979. Looking at them and putting them into the context of the dates I would have thought they were, if not groundbreaking quite influential. What other books from that time would have influenced the amateur or family historian to visit the battlefields? Did they influence any members of the forum?
