Isabel Graham Smith - novelist is listed as leaving London for Bombay on 17th April 1919 on board S.S. Kiva.

Sorry - posted in the wrong forum. Here I should just be asking if anyone has heard of her as an author.

I think she is probably the wife of Albert Burch Smith, a gunner in RFA.

The wife of Albert Burch Smith had first name Isabella.

She was born on 27th February 1887 in Curragh Camp, Co Kildare, Ireland

They were in Meerut before WW1. Albert Burch Smith was Sgt (local) 3853 with P Battery RFA.

She travelled to England as Mrs A.B. Smith arriving Plymouth 23rd November 1918, to be with 95th Battery RFA.

She died 25th May 1925 in Mirzapore.

Her parents names were William Kelly and Jemima Graham/Grahame/Grahome. William Kelly had been in the Cameronians and was discharged on 6th January 1906, his final active posting being in Nowshera.

Three sorts of help requested:

1. How can I verify my hunch that the novelist is the wife of Albert Burch Smith?

2. How can I find out whether she was employed in the war effort when in England?

3. Is she known as the author of novels? Is there any line of research I should be following?

Thanks,

Don
