Guest 27lancers Posted 16 June , 2004 Share Posted 16 June , 2004 I am having difficulty with researching the individual histrory of the above Officer. My research is in connection with the 27th Lancers a WW2 war raised cavalry regiment. The connectiuon being that Maj-Gen R Worsley is the Grandfather of the CO, Lt. Col AM Horsbrugh-Porter (son in law of Brig-Gen RC Browne-Clayton, DSO - South Irish Horse). I would appreciate if anyone could give me some pointers towards any text, etc concerning the Maj-Gen R Worsley. Many thanks Mark

Guest Pete Wood Posted 16 June , 2004 Share Posted 16 June , 2004 If you mean Richard Edward Worsley, there won't be an obit. I believe he is still alive (he was born in 1923)..... Looking at the question, I think I have the wrong man. But RE Worsley might be worth tracking down...??
armourersergeant Posted 16 June , 2004 Share Posted 16 June , 2004 in the times obits there is reference to all mentioned above including the main man but it gives no real info only passing references. So the man is really dead, he'd have to be cracking an age to still be alive Arm.
