SparkyUK Posted 16 November , 2010 Share Posted 16 November , 2010 Had the pleasure of reading this superb book by Paul Gannon over the last week and it offers a new insight into the operations within Room 40 of Admiralty House. The codebreaking team, some of whom went on to Bletchley Park in the Second World War, are brilliantly depicted and the research is exhaustive. I thoroughly recommend this little gem to those who have an interest in all things espionage.
simonharley Posted 23 November , 2010 Share Posted 23 November , 2010 What does Gannon have to write about Captain Thomas Jackson and Room 40 on the eve of Jutland? If it's the same derogatory inaccurate c*** spouted by Marder, Beesly, Gordon et al. then I definitely won't be buying the book. Simon
