jcebell Posted 17 June , 2004 Share Posted 17 June , 2004 Hi all, We have two men who were reinforcements for the NZEF. Both were married with children and neither served abroad. One was Charles Eastwood, 86098, who was with the 45th Reinforcements (joining as a private on 12 Aug 1918) and then with the 49th as a p/cpl and the 52nd Rfts as a t/cpl, finally demob on 26 Nov 1918. The other Leopold Mallitte, we only know that he was a 2nd Reservist, Category C. Can anybody tell us what "p/cpl" stands for please? We were wondering if anyone can tell us the nature of these Reinforcement units, what their training was like, what they were paid, what equipment they used, and what medals, if any, they were entitled to please. Thanks, The Bells.
