sar2jec Posted 28 June , 2004 Share Posted 28 June , 2004 I have have a list of 20 or so names that I am interesting in researching but I cant get down to the PRO in London. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a researcher to do it for me. I dont want to pay large sums for each of the names but I only want a quick search for the service records (if they exist) and maybe the MIC. The names are mostly unusual. So can someone give me a possible quote or let me have the contact details of a good researcher. Many thanks, Jonathan

Michael Posted 28 June , 2004 Share Posted 28 June , 2004 Jonathon There is no such thing as a quick check for service records. There will be many rolls to search through and you are probably looking at at least a days work for 20 soldiers. I'm not trying to put you off but you should expect a fairly hefty quote. I didnt realise it was that much work! It seems I was being a little ambitious. Nevertheless I will contact Chris Baker to see what he says. I may have to concentrate on just a couple or so. Many thanks Jonathan
