HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 3 July , 2004 Share Posted 3 July , 2004 Below is a poignant Print of NCOs of the 6th Battalion,The Northamptonshire Regiment,accompanied by their Treasured Mascot,A Teddy Bear,Complete with Regimental Colour Ribbons;Cap Badge AND a Wound Stripe!;This Cheeky Chap was presented to a Member of the Battalion , by a Little English Girl as they Embarked for France in July 1915 & "Adopted" by the Battalion as their Mascot,this Photo~the board states "Northants And Our Mascot 15/6/1917" was in the possession of Sergt Paige{Sergt 2nd in from Right Facing,next to Lance~Jack}I wonder did he{Teddy} Survive?
