Hope this helps. Military Medal Word has been received that Pte. William McAllister, Scots Gaurds, has won the Military Medal for Bravery in action while with the Machine Gun Corps. Before enlisting, Pte. McAllister was a member of the Durham County Constabulary, stationed at Blackhill, and is a native of Loughconnelly, the Braid. Shiuld have the next batch shortly and I'll see if any light is shed. Having only the barest notion of how the MG Corps was operated, I am unable to even cast a guess at this one!
