Simon Birch Posted 7 June , 2011 Share Posted 7 June , 2011 Good Morning, Does anyone have any idea on the likely cause of this Canadian officers death? He had served with 65 Squadron since 21/09/18 and his AIR 76 says killed in a flying accident 21/01/19 but I have no other details on the accident. Unusually he was a horologist in civvy street. Any help or pointers would be very gratefully received. Simon
Dolphin Posted 7 June , 2011 Share Posted 7 June , 2011 Simon 2Lt P T Grant was killed while flying Sopwith Camel E1591 when it dived into the ground while firing at a target on 21 January 1919. He was credited with a victory over a Fokker Dr.I while flying Camel H7005 on 14 October 1918 and a victory over a Fokker D.VII while flying Camel D8173 on 26 October. I hope this helps you.
