Hello! I wrote this article about a young M.O who was killed in WW1 a long time ago now but some people might find it of use and interest. I will happily give any advice I can on researching the RAMC. Find it at....

Dr James Chambers Sproule RAMC was a Regular. He served with 19 Field Ambulance after leaving 2RWF in November 1914. He retired loaded with honours and as a Brigadier. I have been seeking a photograph of him for years. All avenues I can think of have been explored. The Sproules were and are a big medical family, but all letters to medical Sproules disappear into a big dustbin somewhere. My son-in-law is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and he has similarly tried on my behalf. Nothing.

Can you help please?
