phil andrade Posted 25 June , 2011 Share Posted 25 June , 2011 Please offer your suggestions regarding a good, concise narrative of the Second Battle of the Marne, preferably offering a perspective from each of the several national contingents involved. Grazie mille ! ( this might hint that I'm intrigued at the story of the Italians there !) Phil (PJA)
trenchtrotter Posted 25 June , 2011 Share Posted 25 June , 2011 Not well covered Im afraid. Sydney Rogersons Ebb and Flow I believe covers some and also Second Battle Of The Marne by Paul Greenwood...ok but not in depth and mainly French and British. Robert Dunlop Posted 25 June , 2011 Share Posted 25 June , 2011 'Soissons, 1918' by Johnson and Hillman. Like most books on the subject, in English, the focus is on the US efforts. There is some coverage in the British Official History. I have not come across any other books that have included mention of the Italians in this battle. jjkrause84 Posted 29 June , 2011 Share Posted 29 June , 2011 How about "The Second Battle of the Marne" by Michael Neiberg (came out in 2010, I believe). A very good read, scholarly and impressive. How Mike manages to churn out books at the rate he has in the past few years I have no idea.
