Good Evening All.

I wonder if someone could help me,I have two books one is called The history of the 2nd Division by Everard Wyrall. and the other is The 5th Army in March 1918, by W Shaw Sparrow. Can anybody tell me if there is a book giving the history of 5th Brigade, or similar?

Regards Andy.

Andy,

Have you tried the Naval and Military Press? They have a rather large range of unit histories, so you never know. There may also be something on Amazon, you could have a look through the forum link.

Cheers Andy.

As far as I know there is no published history of the 5th Bde., though there are histories of its constituent battalions.

You could try Project Gutenberg for possible digitised unit histories. The 5th Brigade battalions were: 2 Ox & Bucks Light Infantry; 2 Highland Light Infantry (these are the only 2 battalions to remain in 5 Brigade over time); and in 1918: 24 Royal Fusiliers; 5th Trench Mortar Battery.
