Lyffe Posted 16 August , 2011 Share Posted 16 August , 2011 DH9, C2198, on the strength of 166 Squadron at Bircham Newton at the beginning of 1919, was 'borrowed' to make meteorological ascents above the airfield on eight occasions between 25 February and 3 May. Although each ascent was followed by a detailed report there was never any explanation as to the object of the exercise. (An incomplete set of the reports is held by the Met Office Archive.) It's a very long shot I appreciate but I'm wondering if anyone could help me trace a photo of the aircraft
