Auxillery Division, Royal Irish Constabulary

Recommended Posts

Has anyone , during the course of their research, come across men who, having been discharged at the end of the war, went on to serve as either 'Temporary Cadets' with the Auxillery Division of the Royal Irish Constabulary or as Sergeants or Constables in the RIC proper (Black and Tans) ?

Any info greatly appreciated.

The ADRIC register attthe PRO lists the whole lot!. It also gives regiments and decorations. The 'roll of honour 'in Jim Herlihy's Short history of the RIC Four Courts Dublin is also useful as is the Royal Irish Constabulary Gazette and its RUC successor
